We’ve finally found a moment at the end of March to update our website and social media with a wrap-up of what is essentially the "harvest season" for any self-respecting Irish folk band: the Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations. Calling it a "Day" is a bit of an understatement, as the festivities usually span at least a full week centered around March 17th. During this time, we had the pleasure of playing three concerts - each with its own unique vibe and audience.
The first took place at Krzywy Gryf, a venue that typically hosts heavier sounds. This time, however, it was filled with people who, instead of starting a mosh pit, chose to listen intently to our performance. The show was bolstered by a new drum sound and Irish step dancing performed by Malwina from Sedinum Celticum.
The second concert was a true explosion of energy and emotion in the beautiful town of Eschwege, which we will remember for a long time. We’re excited to share a photo album from this night, captured by Nils Kastenhuber. We traveled to this town in Hesse to perform at the E-Werk cultural center, invited by the incredibly positive crew from the band Salt' n Tales for their "Paddy’s Night" event. The crowd's reaction, the reviews, and the grand finale featuring Scottish bagpipes and all the performing artists—not to mention the Guinness and fine whiskey flowing that evening - sent our spirits sky-high. It was truly hard to leave such a hospitable event.
Finally, we returned to our home base in Szczecin for our third concert at our friendly local, Irish Pub Dublin. It was a fascinating night, as the pub was packed with Americans, Canadians, and folks from the Isles who came to celebrate the "Green Holiday" and feel right at home. The party, including some lively polkas, really took off thanks to Sedinum, who arranged several group dances on the floor.
Huge thanks to everyone for the amazing reception, the thunderous "Yee-haw!", and the great time. See you soon!
